PRIM Opus. A watch with the soul of a composition
The limited edition PRIM Opus pays tribute to two powerful stories – the music of Bedřich Smetana and the Czech watchmaking tradition, both of which intersected in Nové Město nad Metují. It was here that Smetana composed the Louisa Polka, a love message written into musical notes.
To honour the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana and 75 years of Czech watchmaking tradition, a limited edition of only 47 watches was created – 40 in stainless steel and 7 in white gold.
Every piece is an original. The movement features hand-engraved opening bars of the Louisa Polka, hand-blued hands and a blue-toned strap crafted with masterful precision. Every motif, every detail is unique – just like love itself.

A story of love written into musical notation
A story of love and passion written between the notes. The Czech musical genius Bedřich Smetana connected his love with music and our town, Nové Město nad Metují. It was here that he composed the Louisa Polka and dedicated it to his cousin, for whom he held deep affection.
This year we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana, who laid the firm foundations of Czech music. We also celebrate 75 years of Czech watchmaking tradition, which placed our country on the elite watchmaking map of the world. What connects us? Nové Město nad Metují.
The town of PRIM watches.
A tribute to the town and the musical personality became the central idea and inspiration for the designers of this magnificent model. The appearance of the dial was also inspired by historic table clocks from the Nové Město château.
The limited edition includes 40 pieces in stainless steel and 7 pieces in white gold.
Hand craftsmanship in every detail
The movement features hand-engraved opening notes of the Louisa Polka and the limited edition number of the watch. One piece requires 10–12 hours of concentrated work by an experienced engraver, and every motif is slightly different. Each model therefore becomes an original in its own right.
The bluing of the hands is also carried out manually, as is the strap itself with its beautiful blue gradient shade.
