The classic PRIM Diplomat watch continues the legacy of the original model produced in Nové Město nad Metují in the late 1960s. Today, however, more modern materials are used in its production. The working name of the watch at its inception was PRIM Repre. From the very beginning, it has been regarded as a premium model within the wide range of PRIM watches.
The Diplomat stands out with its case made of precious metals. Traditional gold or understated platinum transforms the PRIM Diplomat into both an investment and a genuine piece of jewelry, one that can be passed down through generations.
The timeless, elegant dial design and intricately crafted case, featuring decorative milling, will remain stylish for decades. The stainless steel crown is adorned with the Nové Město arches pictogram, a symbol of prestige and luxury for wristwatches with an in-house PRIM movement. The specially cut cylindrical sapphire crystal matches the original shape of the glass, and the watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM.
The watch comes with a calf leather strap and a buckle made from the same material as the case.

Our factory in Nové Město nad Metují has been producing wristwatches of consistent quality from the very beginning. Over time, however, there was growing demand for higher-end watches, which the factory was technologically capable of producing at that time. In 1965, development began on a model intended to become a representative product of the Czechoslovak watchmaking industry.
By 1966, the Diplomat had entered production, with the first 3,000 pieces reaching the market at the end of 1967. The watch also gained attention abroad, and in 1968 an export version was introduced. These differed from the originals in that they did not include the higher-grade movement, and the hands and dial were simplified. Instead of the Diplomat name, only the designation 17 jewels appeared on the watch.
