The Orlík II model became a bearer of the Art Deco style. Its case, lugs and bezel present the aesthetics and elegance of the 1920s, an era of cultural prosperity, development and belief in a better future.
This style was inscribed into the Prim Orlík Art Deco LE watch by hand engraving. Using damascening, a very ancient method, pure gold was gradually hammered in to create a decorative pattern. Strips of gold are inserted into the metal and then shaped by subsequent hammering into a decorative pattern. In practice, this technique is used on weapons, jewellery and high-value art objects. The precision of the engraving on the small surface of the watch parts is immense. It is created under a microscope, and the engraver’s meticulous work takes 150 hours on each watch.
Only five strong personalities who appreciate hand craftsmanship will be able to treat themselves to this model. It is never possible to make 2 completely identical pieces by hand, which is why each of the five models is an original.
