The classic dress watch PRIM Diplomat follows the original model produced in Nové Město nad Metují at the end of the 1960s. Today, however, more modern materials are used in production. During development, the working name of the watch was PRIM Repre. From the very beginning, it was regarded as a premium model within the wide range of PRIM watches.

The timeless elegant dial design and refined case, distinguished by decorative milling, will remain stylish even decades from now. The stainless steel crown is adorned with the pictogram of the Nové Město arches, a symbol of the prestige and luxury of wristwatches featuring an in-house PRIM manufacture calibre. The specially polished cylindrical sapphire crystal reflects the shape of the original crystal. The watch has a water resistance of 5 ATM.

PRIM Diplomat watches are supplied with a metal bracelet, although a leather strap may be chosen instead.

From the very beginning, our factory in Nové Město nad Metují produced wristwatches of consistent quality. Over time, however, demand arose for a higher-class watch, which the factory was already technologically capable of producing. In 1965, development therefore began on a model intended to become a representative product of the Czechoslovak watchmaking industry.

Production of the Diplomat began as early as 1966, with the first 3,000 pieces reaching the market at the end of 1967. The watches also attracted attention abroad, leading to the creation of an export version in 1968. Compared to the original model, it differed by using a lower-grade movement, while the hands and dial were also simplified. Instead of the Diplomat inscription, the watches featured only the marking 17 jewels.
